Celebrity David Warner

A roundup

It’s great to see David Warner we know and its time to recall his character in his movies

Young David Warner

He was an American actor who appeared in films, television shows, and plays.

"He will be greatly missed by us, his family, and friends, and will be remembered as a kind-hearted, generous, and compassionate man, partner, and father." We are devastated.

Warner married twice. In 1969, he married his first wife, Harriet Lindgren. They divorced in 1972, three years later.  In 1979, he married his second wife, Sheilah Kent. They divorced in 2005 after a twenty-six-year marriage.

Heart To Heart

Warner was born in Manchester, England on July 29th, 1941; his parents divorced when he was a child, so he attended eight separate boarding schools while they "kept stealing me from each other," according to Warner. He was not a well-known student, as Warner recalled in interviews, so acceptance to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) was never guaranteed.  Warner didn't always consider acting to be his true calling, as he joked with The AV Club's Will Harris during a typically lengthy interview. "My first job was as an extra," he tells Harris, referring to his first film role in "We Joined the Navy" as a sailor.

His Movies List

We Joined the Navy  The King's Breakfast  Tom Jones  Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment  The Deadly Affair  The Bofors Gun Work Is a Four-Letter Word  You, Me and Him   Before I Sleep   Old Habits  Mary Poppins Returns

Warner died on July 24, 2022, five days before his 81st birthday, of a lung cancer-related illness at Denville Hall in London, after being diagnosed with cancer eighteen months before and keeping it hidden from the public.
